If there is anything that a new parent could ask for it would be to understand exactly why their baby is crying. Well mothers to be, prepare yourself because baby monitors of this sort are now been researched and developed.
According to Science Daily, baby monitors of the future will now translate exactly why your baby is crying. Know parents will know for certain whether their baby is tired, hungry, uncomfortable, stressed, wet or in pain etc.
The emotion detector as it is called is been research by Japanese biometric scientists who use statistical computer programs that can analyze a baby’s crying. I don’t much if anything on what exactly biometrics and statistical computer programming is but sounds like they’re on to a good thing.
One thing is for sure, before all the fancy biometrics and computer programs many mothers before me had to learn to decode their babies cry manually through experience. After half a dozen babies or so you would receive mastership decoding qualifications as a mother. Luckily for us and even more lucky to mothers to be parenting is becoming a lot easier.
Why Is She Crying Again?
Kansei engineering as it is known is Hiroshima International University will attempt to “measure feeling and emotions” and will turn this into a product design that will benefit the masses and no doubt their pockets too.
Apparently many organizations have tried to decode baby cries through sound recognition patterning before but have failed.
A couple of tests have already been undertaken in Hiroshima University and they have 100% validity rate. While doing some research I found another product that claims to do similar things, the “why cry baby analyzer”. I haven’t seen any promising reviews about this one just yet, maybe it doesn’t work quite accurately or even do what its suppose to (Im only assuming here) but maybe worth a try.
